About me

A few things about me...

My mum taught me the piano from the age of 5 along with musical theory. I asked to learn the saxophone at 8 years old and my parents bought me an Alto. But, as soon as I saw so many great bands on TV during the 90s as a kid, like Metallica, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, I soon realised that I just wasn’t going to get those kinds of lessons at home or with my other music teachers.

So, at the age of 13 I took my mum’s electric guitar and started teaching myself how to play everybody’s favourite first time tune, Smells Like Teen Spirit. From then on I was obsessed with rock music, punk music, indie, garage, you name it… if it rocked, I loved it. Don’t get me wrong, all the traditional music lessons were invaluable, but I was searching for something you simply could not find in textbooks, but you could witness it with your very eyes on TV or on stage at an Iron Maiden concert (the second band I ever saw live when I was 14!).

Hopefully you can see why I started teaching guitar tailored to people growing up worshipping rockstars, just like I did. I’ve spent many years touring the continent with some of my favourite artists and I’ve decided to share not only the musical knowledge, but the practical knowledge I picked up along the way!
